Mullaco Dewsbury was opened in 1981 at Savile Town, Dewsbury and was amongst the first in the area to offer fresh fruit, vegetables and Halal meat.
In 2004, this shop was extended and refurbished by acquiring two neighbouring shops to make it into a mini-market. Within two years of this extension, business had grown so rapidly to the extent that a bigger and newer place was needed to fulfil the needs of our customers. Premises at nearby Thornhill Lees were identified. They were originally one of ASDA’s first supermarkets and the site is within a mile of our existing shop.
The 10,000 sq ft unit was completely refurbished to very high modern standards. The supermarket includes all the usual departments along with a car park to accommodate over 100 cars.
Today, we can proudly say that we offer fresh fruit and vegetables, Halal meat and poultry, spices and a wide range of traditional Asian and continental foods. We have customers coming from all over Yorkshire, Lancashire and various other parts of the country.
